Job summary

Midland Transport Limited is seeking a professional Class 1 Night Switch Driver based out of Corner Brook, NL. You will run Linehaul between Corner Brook and Gander, operate trailers safely, and communicate with dispatch.

Shift is Monday-Friday (20:00-06:00). The role offers rate per mile, hourly pay for drops and related tasks, quarterly safety and fuel bonuses, uniform allowance, and comprehensive benefits including RRSP matching and wellness reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Class 1 license with minimum 3 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
• Night driving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with satellite systems.
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs with proper equipment.
• Safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Running Linehaul between Corner Brook, NL, and Gander, NL.
• Communicate efficiently with the dispatch.
• Operate the trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
• Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
