Midland Transport in Dartmouth, NS is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to manifest drivers, schedule deliveries and optimize loads with precision. You will monitor real-time routes, communicate with drivers and support safety initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in dispatch, strong organization, excellent communication and MS Office skills. The role offers a dynamic environment with growth opportunities within the Midland/JDI network and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of dispatch experience or similar logistics role.
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Active listener with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates daily dispatch operations, including preparing driver manifests and scheduling deliveries and pickups.
• Monitors routes in real time, communicates with drivers, and resolves service or scheduling issues.
• Supports safety programs through meetings, compliance monitoring, and incident follow-ups.
• Reviews performance data and reports to identify trends and improve operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for manifesting drivers and dispatching loads of freight with detail and accuracy while maintaining and exceeding metrics. Also, determine the most efficient delivery schedules, taking in various factors such as driver availability, size of load and trip length into consideration and other admin functions as required.

Monday-Friday 2:00AM-10:00PM
