You will perform pre-trip inspections, manage loading/unloading when required, and maintain accurate trip records, communicating with dispatch and customers to provide professional service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license and clean driving record.
• Customer service oriented with professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with Manitoba driving conditions.
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required.
• Team oriented and able to assist with all routes.
• Physically capable of repetitive bending, pulling, pushing and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles across Winnipeg routes and regional locations.
• Plan routes to maintain punctuality while adapting to traffic and weather.
• Maintain professional communication with dispatch, receivers, and customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to NSC standards.
• Conduct air brake checks and inspect tires, lighting and components.
• Maintain electronic logs and trip documentation accurately.
• Report defects, incidents, or hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Ensure load is balanced and tarped per safety rules.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required using proper PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and professional Class 1 Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy commercial vehicles for local and regional transport, ensuring on-time services while adhering to all federal and provincial safety regulations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and professional Class 1 Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team in Winnipeg, MB. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy commercial vehicles for local and regional transport, ensuring on-time services while adhering to all federal and provincial safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles, including tandem axle tractor-trailers and straight trucks, across designated Winnipeg city routes and regional locations.
• Plan routes effectively to maintain punctuality while adapting to traffic, road, and seasonal weather conditions.
• Maintain professional communication with supervisors/dispatch, receivers, and customer sites regarding services and updates.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections daily in compliance with National Safety Code (NSC) standards.
• Perform routine air brake checks, inspect coupling devices, tires, lighting, and mechanical components.
• Accurately maintain electronic logging devices (ELD) and trip documentation.
• Immediately report any equipment defects, mechanical issues, traffic incidents, or safety hazards to department supervisors.
• Ensure load is properly balanced and tarped in accordance with safe load securement regulations.
• Verify all delivery paperwork and ensure accurate completion prior to submission.
• Safely assist with loading or unloading procedures when required, using proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 License
• Clean driving record
• Customer service oriented
• Familiarity driving within the Province of Manitoba
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
• Team oriented and willing to assist with all routes
• Ability to keep up with physically demanding tasks such as repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, lifting etc.
