Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Wash Bay Attendant to clean and sanitize trucks and trailers at the Winnipeg facility. You will be trained to operate tractors to move units from yard to wash bay, with an afternoon shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The role is a full-time, contract position for six months, offering overtime after 40 hours and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
• AZ License is an asset.
• Capable of driving tractors and straight trucks within the yard.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Onsite washing and sanitizing of trucks and trailers.
• Assist truck drivers and accompany them as needed on long days.
• Submit daily/weekly log reports as required.
• Operate high pressure washing equipment safely.
• Follow all health and safety protocols.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Logistics Department, the Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the trucks and trailers on site at our Winnipeg facility. The successful candidate will be trained to operate tractors to bring them from the yard to the wash bay.

Duration of contract: Full-time, Contract - 6 months.

Hours of work: Afternoon shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM plus overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be willing to go out of province / rural areas / city with truck drivers as a helper when needed. 10-12-hour days when helping driver.
• Onsite washing and sanitizing of trucks and trailers.
• Daily log reports to be submitted at the end of each week.
• Able to work with high pressure washing equipment.
• Follow all Health and Safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
