Job summary

Darling International Canada Inc. is seeking a Wash Bay Attendant to clean and sanitize trucks and trailers at our Winnipeg facility. You will be trained to operate tractors from the yard to the wash bay, with an afternoon shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 5 driver's license.
• AZ License an asset.
• Experience with high-pressure washing equipment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Onsite washing and sanitizing of trucks and trailers.
• Assist driver by accompanying truck movements as needed (10–12 hour days).
• Submit daily log reports at end of each week.
• Operate tractors from yard to wash bay when trained.
• Follow all Health and Safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Logistics Department, the Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the trucks and trailers on site at our Winnipeg facility. The successful candidate will be trained to operate tractors to bring them from the yard to the wash bay.

Duration of contract: Full-time, Contract - 6 months.

Hours of work: Afternoon shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM plus overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be willing to go out of province / rural areas / city with truck drivers as a helper when needed. 10-12-hour days when helping driver.
• Onsite washing and sanitizing of trucks and trailers.
• Daily log reports to be submitted at the end of each week.
• Able to work with high pressure washing equipment.
• Follow all Health and Safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Capable of driving tractors and straight trucks within yard.
• AZ License an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Focused attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
