Job summary

Darling International Canada Inc. is seeking a reliable Class 1 Truck Driver for our Winnipeg operation.

You will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of raw materials and finished goods across a range of routes and shifts, following safety rules and customer service standards. The role requires a valid Class 1 license, a clean driving record, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • Must be customer service oriented and able to interact professionally with customers and suppliers.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing.

Darling International Canada Inc., is Canada's largest provider of rendering and recycling services to the food industry, operating six processing facilities across Canada. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Logistics Department, Truck Drivers are responsible for the pick-up and delivery of raw material and finished goods on a variety of routes and shifts. We currently have an opportunity for a reliable and conscientious individual to join our team as a Class 1 Truck Driver at our Winnipeg location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of raw material and finished goods on a variety of routes and shifts.

  • Tasks will include some physical demands such as repetitive pulling, pushing, lifting etc.
  • Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork.
  • Evening shifts along with weekend work will be required depending on weekly route scheduling.

  • Conduct all interactions with customers and suppliers in a respectful, professional, and service oriented manner.
  • Required to formally report any concerns or customer service-related issues.
  • Responsible for following all company and Health and Safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents.
  • Responsible to ensure that both tractors and trailers are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Ensure safe driving operations.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad-hoc issues that may arise.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid Class 1 License
  • Clean driving record

  • Familiarity driving within the Province of Manitoba

  • Ability to keep up with physically demanding tasks such as repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, lifting etc.
