Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is hiring a delivery driver to transport a diverse fleet of construction equipment to customer jobsites in Grande Prairie, AB. You will load, secure, inspect, and document equipment throughout the delivery process.

The role requires a valid Class 3 license, outdoors work in various weather, and the ability to lift ~50 lbs. Overtime and on-call rotation may apply; uniforms and safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with clean/satisfactory abstract.
• Experience operating, loading, and transporting heavy equipment on flat-bed trucks.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varied weather and road conditions.
• Physical ability to lift ~50 lbs and stay active during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a diverse fleet of construction equipment to customer sites.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment per safety procedures; inspect in transit.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections, logs and timesheets; check fluid levels.
• Obtain customer signatures and notify supervisor of delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery/pickup records and report missing/broken items.

Equipment fleet includes (but is not limited to) aerial, earth moving and compaction equipment.Load and unload equipment; secure loaded equipment per company safe work procedures and inspect in transit if necessary.Complete thorough and accurate daily pre-inspections and post-inspections, regulatory logs and timesheets. Check gas, oil and other fluid levels.Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed.Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered.Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified.Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets.Tag and move broken equipment to repair area.Provide basic instruction to customers on the safe operation of equipment if necessary.Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.What You’ll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.Experience with operation, load securement and transportation of heavy-duty construction equipment on flat-bed trucks is required.Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions.Comfortable with manual transmissionPhysical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
