You will work with passionate colleagues who care deeply about you, our clients, and our communities.

Our Claims team aims to create peace of mind for clients and communities. Our national team of knowledgeable professionals serves clients with compassion. We are dedicated to continuous improvement, operating with integrity, and doing right by our clients.

As the Major Events Field Claims Representative II, you will investigate, negotiate, and settle intermediate habitational, farm, and commercial property claims related to major events. You will also support claims operations by handling regular property claims when major events and claim volumes are reduced.

How you will create impact :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality claims settlements, including on-site damage evaluations, estimate preparations, and cash settlements.
  • Coach, train, and provide technical support to the claims team.
  • Conduct initial client calls, determine coverage, review building appraisals, and arrange payments and settlements.
  • Deliver exceptional client service aligned with our standards, aiming to position the organization as an industry leader in client engagement.

How you will succeed :

  • Bring an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and influence change, focusing on client needs.
  • Utilize critical thinking to evaluate assumptions, arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively suggest solutions.
  • Communicate clearly to convey messages and explore diverse viewpoints.
  • Build trusting relationships and support colleagues' development.

To join our team :

  • Have at least three years of experience in insurance, business, or a related field.
  • Possess or be working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • Be working towards licensing in PEI, NB, and NL.

Additional considerations :

What you need to know :

  • You will travel during major events; extended time away on short notice is possible.
  • You need your own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required during peak periods and major events.
  • You will support clients experiencing personal or financial loss, requiring confidentiality and discretion.
  • You will work virtually with a high degree of autonomy.
  • A background check and MVR will be required if you are successful.

What’s in it for you?

  • Training and development to advance your career.
  • Flexible work options to support personal and family needs.
  • A comprehensive well-being program, including health, mental health, and wellness support.
  • Competitive salary, incentive programs, and a total rewards package (retirement plans, pension, health and dental benefits, disability, life coverage, mental health support, employee assistance).

Expected Salary Range : $59,000 to $98,000

  • The salary will be determined based on various factors, including market conditions, location, knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education.
