Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Insurance Solutions, you will investigate and evaluate the eligibility of life, disability, and job loss claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely investigation, evaluation, and eligibility determination of claims based on medical info, job requirements, non-medical factors, and policy terms within established standards.
  • Communicate decisions and recommendations to management and clients.
  • Document all communication with customers accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with management to exchange ideas, gather information, and solve issues related to claims.
  • Proactively communicate with policyholders regarding claim status and updates.
Education and Experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in claims administration in the life insurance industry (required).
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English (required).
  • Experience dealing with medical professionals (required).
  • Prior experience with creditor insurance products (preferred).
  • Completion of LOMA Levels 1 and 2 (preferred).
Skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to interact at all levels and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word.
  • Willingness to pursue industry courses.
