This role works closely with vendor partners, associates, and customers to secure appropriate credits, maintain inventory control, and support smooth store operations. By combining strong attention to detail with excellent customer service, the Claims Associate helps protect company assets while contributing to a positive shopping and work environment.What you'll do...WHAT YOU'LL DOHandle Damaged and Returned ItemsScans damaged and stolen items quickly and correctly to help prevent loss.Process Returns and Vendor RequestsPrepares returns, vendor requests, recalls, and donation items by completing required paperwork, packing, and shipping on time.Keep the Claims Area Safe and CleanKeeps the claims area neat, clean, and safe by following proper lifting, ladder use, and chemical disposal procedures.Follow Claims ProceduresFollows Company rules for handling damaged and recalled items, keeps claims up to date, and completes required forms for older claims to reduce chargebacks.Support Store ProgramsCompletes Customer Value Program (CVP) tasks as assigned and follows current systems and processes.Work with Other TeamsProvides support to the Office Support Associate and Directs Store Delivery Associate when needed.Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) • Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
