Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Civil Technologist to join our Community Development team in British Columbia. You will support civil design for infrastructure, municipal, and land development projects, collaborating with engineers and technical staff to produce civil models, drawings, and construction-ready packages across multiple project phases.

The role emphasizes coordination with multiple stakeholders, knowledge of BC guidelines, and experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and AutoTURN.

Qualifications

• Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of directly related professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform complex civil engineering-support and design tasks on infrastructure and land development projects, including civil models, alignments, profiles, grading designs, and utility networks.
• Prepare and support designs through conceptual to construction-ready stages, including construction administration and field review activities.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to advance designs, resolve technical issues, and support permitting/approval processes.
• Broad civil design experience across municipal roadways, utilities, public space, and major infrastructure sectors is an asset.
