Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineering Technologist for our Edmonton, AB, Canada office (Hybrid). The successful candidate contributes to land development design and delivery, drawing on AutoCAD Civil3D and other tools, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting multiple municipal and industrial projects.

Position requires technical degree/diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience, with a focus on roadways, utilities, and site grading.

• Knowledge of codes and design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil3D and other tools to complete drafting of construction drawings, figures and deliverables.
• Assist or lead designer in geometric design of roadways, utilities, and site grading.
• Assist or lead designer in design of surface, sanitary, storm and water networks.
• Prepare plan/profile drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and construction staff.
• Occasional field work as needed.
• Produce design markups, redlines, plotting, and drafting using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Create topographic surfaces and calculate quantities.
• Perform quality control of construction drawings.
