Job summary

Rogers Communications, Inc. in London, Ontario is seeking a Civil Specialist to coordinate the maintenance of the civil portion of wireless infrastructure and manage relationships with landlords and contractors.

You will support budgeting, procurement, and on‑site mentoring while ensuring safety and Rogers’ standards are met across Southern Ontario, from Windsor/Sarnia to Niagara Falls.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence in good standing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Technically proficient and eager to learn.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Related post‑secondary education such as civil engineering technologist/technician or equivalent on‑the‑job experience.
  • Experience in project planning and management is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance of the civil portion of wireless infrastructure (roads, shelters, electrical/HVAC, landscaping).
  • Coordinate relocation of equipment or antennas with landlords.
  • Collaborate with procurement on service requests and quotes from third‑party contractors.
  • Open/close purchase orders, process invoices, participate in budget planning.
  • Provide on-site mentoring, monitoring and training to contractors.
  • Conduct quality inspections on-site and remotely to ensure standards are met.
  • Assist in coordinating and responding to emergencies, on-site and remotely.

Technical Operations in Ontario is hiring for our Civil Specialist role in Southern Ontario, covering the area from Windsor/Sarnia to Niagara Falls. This individual will coordinate the maintenance of our regional infrastructure and support third‑party contractors as they complete the work.

What you'll do:
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the civil portion of our wireless infrastructure, including roads, compounds, shelters, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and landscaping.
  • Coordinate the relocation of equipment or antennas with landlords.
  • Collaborate with procurement on service requests for proposals and source job‑specific quotes from our third‑party contractors.
  • Open and close purchase orders, process invoices for payment, and participate in budget planning.
  • Provide on-site mentoring, monitoring, and training to third‑party contractors.
  • Conduct quality inspections, both on-site and remotely, to ensure work is complete and meets Rogers' standards.
  • Assist in coordinating and responding to emergencies, both on-site and remotely.
What you bring:
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence in good standing.
  • Effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organization and interpersonal skills required.
  • Technically proficient with the desire to learn.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
