Job summary

Rogers Communications, Inc. is seeking a Vendor Manager to govern and optimize vendor relationships across operations. You will lead governance, monitor performance, manage contracts and drive financial oversight to ensure value delivery.

The role collaborates with Procurement, Finance and Network teams to ensure SLAs and KPIs are met and benefits realized. Strong communication, analytical skills and experience in contract management are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in vendor management, contract management, network, business, finance, accounting or similar background.
  • Experience in performance governance, including interpreting and analyzing contractual SLAs or KPIs, working with financial data, and managing vendor performance.
  • Strong communicator who can facilitate discussions, negotiate outcomes and align stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinker who can connect the dots to solve problems and provide recommendations.
  • Detail oriented with contracts, KPIs and financials across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead governance and compliance activities to ensure vendors meet SLAs and KPIs.
  • Regularly track vendor performance using dashboards and indicators; address gaps and risks.
  • Manage end-to-end contract execution and resolve issues with vendors and internal teams.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and yearly spend (OPEX and CAPEX); identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Serve as the bridge between vendors and Rogers teams (Procurement, Finance, Network).
  • Maintain documentation on vendor performance, financials, and contract items on a regular cadence.
  • Align vendor outcomes with the organization’s long-term technology strategy.

Who we are looking for :

We are looking for vendor Manager who will lead the governance, performance management and financial tracking of our vendors. This role is a critical link in our Network organization, directly responsible for the operational integrity and financial performance of our most critical vendors. You will ensure that contractual SLA’s and KPI’s are met, and that the intended financial and operational benefits are realized in our network vendor agreements.

What you will do:
  • Governance & Compliance: Lead regular performance reviews (weekly / monthly meetings) to ensure vendors meet contractual SLAs and KPI’s, and are making progress on projects and action items
  • Performance Tracking: Regularly track vendor performance based on existing dashboards and performance indicators, identifying and addressing areas of improvement, and mitigating risks
  • Contract Execution: Manage the end-to-end execution of the contract, including managing vendor outcomes to contract expectation, resolving gaps identified and issues raised by vendors and internal teams
  • Financial Oversight: Manage and track monthly, quarterly and yearly spend for both OPEX and CAPEX, managing risks and identifying cost-saving opportunities or business value creation
  • Relationship Management: Act as the bridge between the vendor and internal Rogers teams, including Procurement, Finance and multiple Network teams to resolve issues and drive innovation
  • Documentation: Upkeep documentation as it relates to vendor performance, financials, and contractual items, ensuring items are accurately tracked and reported on regular cadence
  • Strategic Alignment: Work across the Network organization and with vendors in ensuring vendor outcomes align with our long-term technology strategy
What you bring:
  • You have 3+ years in vendor management, contract management, network, business, finance, accounting or similar background and can apply vendor management principles and best practices
  • Experienced in performance governance, including interpreting and analyzing contractual SLA’s or KPIs, working with financial data, and managing vendor performance
  • Are a good communicator who can facilitate discussions, negotiate outcomes and align stakeholders, and have a relationship building attitude
  • Are highly analytical, can connect the dots to solve problems and provide alternative solutions and recommendations
  • Are detail oriented who can excel in the intricate details of contracts, KPIs and financial details, ensuring accuracy throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Consistently asking questions and can search for information to find answers, has a thirst for knowledge and is constantly learning
  • Ability to quickly pivot and prioritize tasks, while managing multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Are a team player, can proactively step in and offer help as required while balancing and prioritizing your work tasks, and achieving those task
