Job summary

Rogers Communications in London, ON is hiring a Civil Specialist to coordinate the maintenance of our wireless infrastructure across Southern Ontario, from Windsor/Sarnia to Niagara Falls. You will work with third‑party contractors, manage purchase orders, and support budget planning.

The role requires a valid Ontario driver's license, strong communication, organization, and technical proficiency, with post‑secondary civil engineering tech credentials.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license in good standing.
• Effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior organization and interpersonal skills required.
• Technically proficient with the desire to learn.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Related post-secondary education, such as a civil engineering technologist/technician or related on-the-job experience.
• Experience in project planning and management would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the maintenance of the civil portion of our wireless infrastructure, including roads, compounds, shelters, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and landscaping.
• Coordinate the relocation of equipment or antennas with landlords.
• Collaborate with procurement on service requests for proposals and source job-specific quotes from our third-party contractors.
• Open and close purchase orders, process invoices for payment, and participate in budget planning.
• Provide on-site mentoring, monitoring, and training to third-party contractors.
• Conduct quality inspections, both on-site and remotely, to ensure work is complete and meets Rogers' standards.
• Assist in coordinating and responding to emergencies, both on-site and remotely.
