Hatch is seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist Co-op Student for an internship starting September 2025, supporting civil engineering design and drafting. Reporting to the Utility Engineering Lead, you will work from our Markham office and support global offices.

You Will

• Contribute to complex projects with meaningful responsibilities
• Work on-site and in-office on engineering problems
• Collaborate with diverse teams locally and internationally
• Participate in charitable, social, and sports activities
• Engage in learning opportunities like lunch and learns, Student Showcase, and more
• Receive informal mentorship from industry leaders
• Apply academic knowledge in a professional environment

As The Successful Candidate, You Will

• Support project teams in detailed design for civil infrastructure/utilities projects
• Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and procedures
• Assist in CAD design for municipal infrastructure such as sewers and watermains
• Coordinate with technicians on drainage and utilities design
• Prepare and review technical drawings and documents
• Support senior engineers and designers as needed

You Bring To The Role

• Enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology co-op program at an accredited college
• Strong skills in AutoCAD/Civil3D; experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads is a plus
• Experience in utility, drainage, and pipeline design is an asset
• Comfortable working in 2D and 3D environments
• Positive, results-oriented team player with independence
