This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design equipment, systems, or installations, or modify pre-engineered designs for assignments by applying standard design concepts. You will assist in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specifications. You will also participate in design reviews, verification, and modify the design as necessary.

  • Supporting the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet contractual obligations, adhering to safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to solder and perform light mechanical assembly.
  • Participate in product development and performance testing.
  • Ensure that the Bill of Materials for the project meets contractual obligations.
  • Support product documentation and instructions.
  • Assist in technical risk assessments and implement resulting actions in projects.
  • Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.

Qualifications for the role

  • 2 or more years of experience as an Electronics/Technologist.
  • Advanced ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design tools.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and internationally (up to 20%) is an asset.
