Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a 16-month internship in Calgary. You will gain hands-on experience in both office and field environments, supporting design, field observation, and project coordination across the Greater Calgary Region.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least three years completed by May 1, 2027.
• Interest in design, construction, or infrastructure development and hands-on learning.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field reviews and on-site construction observation.
• Support engineering designs (sanitary, stormwater, water networks, roads, lot grading) using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare technical reports, memos, and project documentation.
• Coordinate shallow utilities and review survey packages.
• Contribute in team meetings and professional development activities.
