Job summary

Stantec in Canada invites you to join as a Student Intern, gaining hands-on experience on water infrastructure projects from May 2027 to October 2027. You will work with our Water team, supporting site development, water and wastewater plants, and distribution systems.

This contract role builds practical skills, expands your network, and contributes to safe, sustainable water solutions for communities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering or related field.
• Successful completion of 1st year Civil Technology, Geomatics or Civil Engineering courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite contract administration tasks.
• Maintain and operate survey equipment and assist on a survey field crew.
• Attend construction sites to observe progress and report deficiencies.
• Collect samples, arrange testing and interpret results.
• Assist technical staff with project data, reports and calculations.
• Exposure to CAD, design and cross-training.
• Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required.
