Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student in Water for a 16-month term, based in Calgary, starting May 2027. You will join our Calgary Water team and support municipal water and wastewater projects.

You'll work with engineers and technologists, gain field experience, and contribute to planning, design, and delivery while developing practical skills and professional networks. This paid internship provides mentorship from senior leaders, exposure to North America's projects, and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year engineering program.
• Willing to commit to a 16‑month internship/co-op term.
• Driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Process Water group.
• Support the field construction and commissioning team on ongoing projects.
• Monitor and report on current construction activities; assist commissioning lead with startup activities.
• Onsite document management including deficiency reviews, asset management, document review, and quality assurance.
• Generate preliminary calculations and reports; review drawings and complete audits on project design elements.
• Perform due diligence and research to start new projects.
