Role description:

Our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is looking for a Civil Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in the design and assessment of water and wastewater systems to join our Canadian Water Business. You will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, working to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.

Arcadis serves a variety of municipal and private sector clients across many market sectors. You will bring your expertise to projects ranging from large municipal water/wastewater treatment facility upgrades to local system upgrades and feasibility studies. This role is within our global business area, Resilience.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead civil site works design and provide engineering services during construction for water/wastewater treatment facilities, reservoirs, and pumping/lift stations.
• Assist in project management activities, including budget and schedule tracking.
• Participate in business development and proposal preparation.
• Develop engineering designs for permits or construction, including drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, hydraulic modeling, and site design.
• Prepare regulatory permit applications, technical documents, work plans, and environmental reports to support design and permitting activities.
• Support client relationship growth with business development teams, including scope and cost development for pursuits and proposals.

Qualifications and experience:

• University degree in Civil Engineering or recognized equivalent.
• Engineering license (P.Eng.) or equivalent experience in good standing.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering for water and wastewater facilities and systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CAD and Civil3D, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and experience with project management systems like MS-Project and Oracle.
