Job summary

Associated Engineering in Edmonton seeks an experienced Project Manager for municipal water and wastewater projects. You will lead project delivery, client communications, and technical reporting while supporting business development and growth within the Northern Alberta region.

You will oversee planning and design tasks, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with the Regional Water Manager to align staffing and strategy. This role offers flexible/hybrid work arrangements and strong benefits.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited institute.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA or technologist with ASET.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering consulting focused on water/wastewater.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management for water and wastewater projects across Northern Alberta.
  • Plan, design and provide technical expertise for municipal water projects.
  • Maintain client communications and align with service objectives.
  • Lead technical reporting and ensure client needs are met promptly.
  • Prepare proposals and support business development in the municipal sector.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Regional Water for growth and staffing.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Project Management for a variety of water and wastewater projects throughout Northern Alberta.
  • Planning, designing, and providing technical expertise on water projects for a diverse municipal client sector includingTowns, Municipal Districts, Counties, and First Nations Communities.
  • Maintaining client communications and expectations to our client service objectives
  • Guiding the project team through the preparation of technical reports to support the project and ensure the project andclient needs are met in an effective and timely manner.
  • Preparing proposals, business development and marketing within municipal sector.
  • Collaborating closely with the Manager, Regional Water to develop business plans, staffing and overall growth of thegroup
Does this sound like you?
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute or diploma in Engineering Technologyfrom an accredited technical institute.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA or a technologist with ASET.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in the engineering consulting industry focused in the water or wastewatersector.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Committed team player and highly motivated.
  • Self motivated and looking for career advancement.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel within Canada.
