Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer II – CIAM in Canada to reinforce backend services supporting customer identity and authentication. You will implement secure login, MFA, step-up auth, and device binding, while collaborating with security and product teams.

You will work with Python or Kotlin, integrate with Okta/Auth0/ForgeRock, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write, test, and debug software in Python or Kotlin.
• Foundational backend development knowledge: APIs, data structures, databases, version control.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting.
• Interest in authentication, identity management, and CIAM.
• Familiarity with identity protocols or CIAM platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver customer-facing authentication features including MFA and device binding.
• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for secure customer access.
• Integrate identity platforms like Okta, Auth0, ForgeRock with applications.
• Participate in full SDLC including design, testing, reviews, and deployments.
• Debug production issues using logs and monitoring tools to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
