Job summary

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is seeking a childcare-focused attendee supervisor to ensure the safety and enjoyment of children in care. You will establish daily procedures and support attendants with guidance, develop engaging activities, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires at least 1 year in childcare or education, a First Aid CPR-C certification, and strong organizational and Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional experience in childcare, daycare, or educator role.
• Experience in a customer or guest services supervisory position.
• Must be 19 years or older.
• Current First Aid with Level C CPR.
• Passion for working with children and creating a safe, healthy environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Strong stress management and decision-making skills.
• Ability to provide a criminal records check through the Criminal Records Review Program.
• Post-secondary credential in Early Childhood Education or related field, or Responsible Adult course as a minimum.
• Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of children in care.
• Establish and communicate daily procedures; ensure attendants follow them.
• Assist attendants with corrective actions and guidance as needed.
• Understand safety and emergency procedures.
• Design age-appropriate stimulating activities (songs, games, etc.).
• Help organize and prepare children for skills lessons.
• Perform or delegate administrative duties (registration, reporting, scheduling).
• Assist with employee orientation, training, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with Winter Sports School Supervisor and Visitor Services to ensure guest experience.
• Support seamless guest experience with team coordination.

Job description

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all childrenunder the care of the Kicking Horse Daycare.
• Establish and communicate daily procedures andensure they are carried out by the Attendants.
• Assist Attendants with positive corrective actionsor guidance with issues as required.
• Have a clear understanding of safety and emergencyprocedures.
• Design stimulating activities appropriate tochildren's age and abilities through activities, songs, games, etc.
• Help organize and prepare children for their skilessons.
• Perform or delegate administrative dutiesincluding, but not limited to, registration, reporting, and scheduling.
• Assist with developing and implementing employeeorientation, training and scheduling.
• Work closely with the Winter Sports School Supervisor and Visitor Services Agents toensure a seamless guest experience.

You Have:

• At least 1 year of professional experience inchildcare, daycare, or an educator role.
• Previous experience in a customer or guest servicesupervisory position.
• Met the minimum age requirement of 19 years.
• A current First Aid certification with Level 'C'CPR.
• A passion for working with children and creating asafe, healthy, and engaging environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook).
• Strong stress management and decision-makingskills.
• A high level of reliability, trustworthiness, andthe ability to provide a criminal record check through the Criminal RecordsReview Program.
