Job summary

Kicking Horse Daycare is seeking an engaging childcare professional for seasonal roles at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. You will ensure safety, implement daily procedures, and guide attendants with corrective actions.

You will create age-appropriate activities, help children prepare for ski lessons, and handle administrative tasks to support a seamless guest experience. Requirements include 1+ year in childcare or related educator roles, a Level C First Aid CPR, and a post-secondary credential

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional experience in childcare, daycare, or an educator role.
• Previous experience in a customer or guest service supervisory position.
• Minimum age 19.
• A current First Aid certification with Level 'C' CPR.
• A passion for working with children and creating a safe, healthy, and engaging environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong stress management and decision-making skills.
• Ability to provide a criminal record check through the Criminal Records Review Program.
• A post-secondary credential in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or Responsible Adult course as a minimum.
• A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate (an asset).

• Establish and communicate daily procedures and ensure they are carried out by the Attendants.
• Assist Attendants with positive corrective actions or guidance with issues as required.
• Have a clear understanding of safety and emergency procedures.
• Design stimulating activities appropriate to children's age and abilities through activities, songs, games, etc.
• Help organize and prepare children for their ski lessons.
• Perform or delegate administrative duties including, but not limited to, registration, reporting, and scheduling.
• Assist with developing and implementing employee orientation, training and scheduling.
• Work closely with the Winter Sports School Supervisor and Visitor Services Agents to ensure a seamless guest experience.

You Have
