Job summary

Resorts Of the Canadian Rockies Inc. in Alberta invites applications for winter seasonal kitchen roles at Nakiska. If you love cooking and the mountains, join a team that serves guests with high-quality food and demonstrates strong safety and hygiene standards.

You will prepare and plate dishes, maintain inventory, and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Successful candidates have at least 2 years of kitchen experience and hold a Safe Serve certification.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of kitchen experience.
• Physically capable of lifting 30 lbs and performing manual labor.
• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Hold a SafeServe or similar food-handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a friendly atmosphere for guests and staff, maximizing quality of service.
• Prepare, cook, and plate food to established quality and presentation standards.
• Ensure that food is received, stored, handled, and prepared in a hygienic and safe manner.
• Assist with inventory counting as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with teammates.
• Promote a safe, sanitized work environment, ensuring the highest of levels of cleanliness, safety, and good storage management.
• Participate in orientation team meetings, regular cleaning. And season-end cleaning and closing procedures.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

You Will

• Are physically capable of lifting to 30lbs and performing manual labor, standing for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Hold a Safe Serve or other food handling certification.
