Qualifications

• A Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the Ontario College of ECE.
• Knowledge of licensing and regulations for childcare providers.
• Meets provincial requirements for childcare employment.
• Immunization and Health Assessment per local Health Ministry requirements.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Director in running the centre, staff recruitment, policies, child safety, and provincial licensing.
• Ensure staff understand objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general communications.
• Understand and enforce province regulations within the building.
• Implement and ensure completion of staff training.
• Communicate effectively with families about their child.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Assisting Centre Director with managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with families about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
