Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Chestermere is seeking an Assistant Centre Director to partner with teachers and families, ensuring a safe, welcoming home-away-from-home for children.

You will oversee operations, staff development, compliance with provincial licensing, and effective parent communications as part of a growing childcare network.

Qualifications

• ECE certification required for childcare leadership
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Up-to-date immunization/health assessment as per local health requirements
• Knowledge of provincial licensing and accreditation regulations
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Director in overall operation, staffing, policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff understand classroom objectives and expectations.
• Handle payroll, AP/AR and general communications.
• Enforce province regulations within the facility.
• Train staff and ensure completion of required trainings.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Early Childhood Education, (CWS) - Level 3 certificate

CPR/First Aid Certificate

Immunization/Health Assessment per local health requirements

Licensing and accreditation regulations knowledge

What will you be doing?

As an Assistant Centre Director, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting Centre Director with managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.
