BrightPath Kids is seeking an Assistant Centre Director at our Beddington, AB location to partner with teachers and families to provide a nurturing home away from home for children in care.

The role involves assisting with staff recruitment and development, policy enforcement, licensing compliance, and ongoing training, while maintaining strong parent communication and a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education Level 3 certificate required.
• Knowledge of provincial licensing and accreditation requirements.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Immunization and Health Assessment as per local health authority.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Director with overall operation and staff development, policy and procedure management, safety and licensing compliance.
• Ensure staff understand classroom objectives and expectations.
• Handle payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and communications.
• Enforce provincial regulations within the facility and coordinate staff training.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Centre Director, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting Centre Director with managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.
