A prominent youth-serving charitable organization in Ottawa is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with financial regulations, lead budgeting processes, and manage the finance team. Candidates should have an accounting designation or advanced finance degree, along with experience in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector. This role emphasizes integrity, analytical skills, and strategic planning.
PURPOSE: As one of Ottawa’s largest child and youth-serving charitable organizations, BGC Ottawa provides FREE, subsidized, and cost-saving community-based services and programs to an average of 5,000 young members annually. The CFO is a vital member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role oversees the finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, forecasting, treasury, and risk management. The CFO also provides analytical support to various departments and the Board of Directors.
Primarily in a quiet, comfortable office environment, with occasional requirements for standing, walking, lifting, or crouching.
