Job summary

Recruiting In Motion - Eastern Ontario is seeking a Vice President, Accounting Operations to lead a sophisticated, multi-entity accounting function from Gatineau, QC, with hybrid work and relocation support to the Ottawa/Gatineau region. The role demands visionary finance leadership and a technology-forward mindset to modernize controllership, reporting, systems, and automation.

Ideal candidates will have more than fifteen years in accounting/finance, an active CPA, and mastery of IFRS/US GAAP,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership of large multi-entity operations.
• Active CPA designation and strong knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP.
• Experience with ERP, SOX/ICFR, and financial systems modernization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee controllership, consolidations, close cycles, and balance sheet governance across multi-entity structures.
• Set long-term financial governance strategy and advise the CFO and Board on performance and risks.
• Lead public-company reporting, MD&A, and disclosures in line with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Own SOX/ICFR program, controls, testing, and remediation with auditors.
• Champion finance systems modernization, automation, and data governance.
