Job summary

Group Compass Ltee seeks a Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations in Beaconsfield, QC. You will participate in menu planning, production, staff scheduling, and supervising a small team while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You should have strong culinary background, supervisory skills, and the ability to communicate in French and English. Experience with catering is a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.

• Two years of culinary experience and strong supervisory skills.
• Creative ability to apply trendy food items and presentations to food service operations.
• Catering experience is an asset.
• Hard-working, hands-on team player.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and learning new programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction.
• Directly manage 4 associates.
• Ensure compliance with Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, OHSA and WHMIS.
• Ensure HACCP standards are followed in food preparation.

• Participate in all phases of food preparation, menu planning, and development.
• Assist in production, hiring, employee training, staff scheduling, associate supervising, as well as addressing and resolving employee relation issues.
• Ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction.
• Be responsible for directly managing4 associates.
• Ensure the unit has strict compliance with the Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
• Ensure Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are followed in the food preparation process.
