Job summary

The National Diabetes Trust is seeking a part-time Donations Pickup Driver to operate assigned routes, collecting donated clothing and household items from customers’ homes and bins, and delivering them to corporate partners and storage facilities.

This role offers up to 29 hours per week at an hourly rate of $19.25, plus a $2,000 signing bonus. The driver will perform pre/post-trip inspections, complete required paperwork, and help promote the mission of the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Strong map-reading and route-planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes to collect donated clothing and household items from homes and bins.
• Deliver items to corporate partners and storage facilities.
• Complete daily paperwork and Hours-of-Service logs.
• Ensure vehicle safety through pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks.
• Promote the organization's mission and maintain professionalism with the public.
