Job summary

National Diabetes Trust is hiring a part-time Donations Pickup Driver in Hamilton, Ontario. The role involves collecting donated clothing and household items on established routes and delivering them to partner facilities.

You will work up to 29 hours per week with a predictable schedule developed with operations, and there is a $2,000 signing bonus. The position offers hourly pay of 19.25 CAD, with benefits including pension and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Education or equivalent experience.
• Strong English communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read maps and plan efficient routes.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs. and operate a 3-Ton straight truck.
• Excellent driving record and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes to collect donated items from homes and donation bins.
• Deliver items to corporate partners and storage facilities.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete daily paperwork.
• Log Hours-of-Service and related documentation daily.
• Coordinate with dispatch and report any route discrepancies.
• Maintain a professional image and provide courteous service to customers.
