Job summary

National Diabetes Trust is seeking a part-time Donations Pickup Driver in Alberta. You will drive a 16-foot truck on established routes to collect donated clothing and household items from customers and donation bins, delivering to partners and storage facilities.

You will promote the organization, ensure safety, complete daily paperwork, and maintain compliance with driving regulations. A Class 5 license and clean driving record are required, with up to 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read maps and plan routes effectively.
• Ability to drive a 3-Ton (16 foot) straight truck and maintain a clean driver record.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes to collect donated clothing and household items.
• Deliver items to corporate partners and storage facilities.
• Promote the mission of the organization to the public and volunteers.
• Complete and submit daily paperwork and Hours-of-Service logs.
• Maintain vehicle safety through pre/post-trip inspections and regular checks.
