Job summary

National Diabetes Trust is seeking a part-time Donations Pickup Driver in Calgary to collect donated clothing and items along established routes and deliver to partner facilities. Up to 29 hours per week with a consistent schedule, focusing on safety, accurate paperwork, and courteous donor interactions.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Ability to read maps.
• Ability to drive a 3-Ton (16 foot) straight truck.
• Strong organizational and route-planning skills.
• Excellent communication with donors and public.
• Clean driver abstract with no major violations in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes to collect donated clothing and household items.
• Complete and submit paperwork daily and log Hours-of-Service.
• Check in with dispatch at start, mid-day, and end of route.
• Ensure safety and maintenance checks on vehicle and logs.
• Deliver items to partner facilities and return equipment to the office.
