Job summary

National Diabetes Trust is seeking a Charitable Donations Pickup Driver to drive a 16-foot straight truck on established routes, collecting donated clothing and household items from customers and donation bins. You will deliver to partner facilities and perform routine vehicle inspections.

The role requires a full Class 5/G license, 5 years driving experience (2 with professional training), and a clean driving record. A signing bonus and full-time schedule are included.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read maps.
• Ability to drive a 3-Ton (16 foot) straight truck.
• Must have Full Class 5 and/or G license or higher.
• Minimum driving experience: 5 years (2 years with professional training).
• Clean driver abstract within the last 21 days.

Responsibilities

• Drive established routes to collect donated clothing and household items.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Complete daily paperwork and Hours-of-Service logs.
• Unload merchandise as instructed and return equipment daily.
• Coordinate with dispatch and ensure only authorized personnel ride in the truck.
