Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is hiring a Certified Millwright to join P&H Milling in Saskatoon, SK. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, service and repair of plant equipment to maintain safety and production efficiency.

The successful candidate should have millwright certification or be a 3rd-year apprentice, with welding/fabrication experience and the ability to work in hot and dusty environments. On-call duties may be required.

Formación

• Certified Millwright or 3rd-year apprentice (or above) is preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Able to work in dusty, hot, outdoor environments.
• Knowledge of quality control and BRCGS standards preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• On-call work availability may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary machinery and equipment per specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic system issues.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Participate in fumigation/heat treatment (heat involved).
• Complete health, safety and food safety training.
• Complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.

The Role

We are seeking a Certified Millwright to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of plant and facilities equipment in a safe and efficient working manner. Maintaining the safety and reliability of machineries and equipment is critical in achieving optimal production efficiency of the plant operations and production.

Day to Day

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
• Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Participate in fumigation/heat treatment. Note: working in higher temperatures is involved during fumigation.
• Complete and comply with all health, safety and food safety training relating to the job.
• Ability to complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.

What You’ll Bring

• Candidates who are certified Millwrights or are currently registered as a 3rd-year apprentice (or above) will be considered.

• Available for on-call work depending on business need
