You will perform preventive maintenance, service and repair of plant equipment, read blueprints, and operate CMMS. Qualifications

• Journeyman/Red Seal Millwright certification required.
• Experience in flour mill operations or similar industrial settings preferred.
• Ability to work in environments with dust, high temperatures, and variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform general facility maintenance and safety/compliance tasks.

Wage: $43.65/hr (Dual Trade Premium: + $2.00/hour)

On‑Call: Approximately once per month, $200 flat on‑call rate

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking a Certified Millwright to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance, service, repair, and maintenance of plant and facilities equipment in a safe and efficient working manner. Maintaining the safety and reliability of machineries and equipment is critical in achieving optimal production efficiency of the plant operations and production.

Day to Day

• Assemble, align, dismantle and position stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges etc.
• Troubleshooting any issues with hydraulic systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Participate in fumigation/heat treatment. Note: working in higher temperatures is involved during fumigation.
• Complete and comply with all health, safety and food safety training relating to the job.
• Ability to complete fall arrest, forklift, telehandler, and scissor lift training.

What You’ll Bring:

• Journeyman/Red Seal trades certification as Millwright.
• Experience in fabricating and welding.
• Able to work in environments subject to dust allergens and higher temperatures as well as in all outside weather conditions.
• Understanding and working knowledge of quality control practices and procedures as per BRCGS regulations.
• Physically fit with the ability to safely lift 25kg.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Dependable with the ability to work with an on-call schedule.
• Previous experience (ideally in flour mill operations) which include elevators, conveyors, rotary valves, compressors, blowers, fans, grinders, electric motors, gearboxes and filtration equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Working knowledge of CMMS.
