Job Summary

The HCA is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. This is a casual, part‑time position.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication assistance/reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship to clients
• Follow Care‑plan
• Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

• HCA certificate and registered to work in AB, or equivalent (foreign‑trained nurse, nursing student)
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain it
• Negative TB skin test or chest X‑ray
• Ability to travel within the location territory
• Access to Internet/Mobile phone
