Job summary

Qualicare Homecare is seeking caring Health Care Aides to join our home care team in the Edmonton area. You will work under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship for clients in their homes.

We offer flexible shifts with 3–12 hours, online training, PPE, and ongoing opportunities to build strong client relationships while making a difference in patients’ lives.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-qualified nurse, nursing student) and Alberta HCA Directory #.
• Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain.
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Ability to travel around location territory.
• Access to Internet/mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with personal care and hygiene.
• Meal Preparation.
• Light Housekeeping.
• Accompany clients on outings.
• Shopping and errands.
• Medication Assist/ Reminders.
• Ambulation and transporting of clients.
• Provide companionship to clients.
