Job summary

Interfor is seeking a skilled HD Mechanic for Timmins, Ontario. The role focuses on maintaining mobile equipment in the mill to support safe, efficient production. The position pays an hourly rate starting at CAD 42.81.

You will diagnose faults, repair or replace parts, and test equipment to ensure operations meet specs. Candidates must hold a Red Seal and work safely in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Red seal ticket in good standing is required.
• Troubleshoot and repair mobile equipment hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Familiar with regulatory legislation and safe work practices.
• Knowledge of maintenance managed systems and processes is a plus.
• Able to operate in all weather and safety-sensitive environments.
• Experience with Caterpillar and Detroit diesel engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to assess repair costs.
• Adjust, repair or replace defective parts and systems with tools.
• Test equipment to ensure performance and manufacturer specs.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.
• Service attachments and blades, ploughs, winches and buckets.
• Maintain and repair mobile heavy-duty equipment used in construction, transport, forestry.
• Maintain, service and repair marine vessels.
