Job summary

True Dental in West Kelowna, BC is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, and take dental X-rays while upholding IPAC standards and patient care excellence.

You must be registered/certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body; prior experience is preferred. Extended health benefits are provided; schedule is Monday to Wednesday and on-site work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $27-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment


• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow


• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required


• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards


• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care


• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks


• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care


• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines


• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

About You:

• Registered and/or C ertified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required


• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
