Job summary

Vic West Dentistry in Victoria, BC is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, prepare rooms, and ensure patient comfort. You will take dental X-rays, manage instruments, and uphold IPAC standards while building strong patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body.
• Dental assisting experience preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is $31-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

About You:

• Registered and/orCertified as aDental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or associationisrequired
