Job summary

WellFort Community Health Services is hiring a Certified Dental Assistant for the Health n’ Smiles team in Brampton, Ontario. This part-time, permanent role is based at the Brama lea BCHC and SHWV locations, with duties spanning chairside support, patient education, and clinic maintenance.

The successful candidate will have Level II certification with ODAA, at least three years in a large dental clinic and one year in a community setting, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must have Certified Level II training (ODAA) and be in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication abilities are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories and equipment with infection control measures at start of day and between clients.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and participate in prevention programs with the team.
• Perform chairside duties and support the dentist and hygienist as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain dental supplies and clinic equipment according to standards.
• Adhere to infection control standards and universal precautions at all times.
