Job summary

WellFort seeks a Certified Dental Assistant to join our Health n’ Smiles team in Brampton on a Part‑Time (0.8 FTE), permanent basis. You will prepare operatories, uphold infection control, and help educate patients alongside the hygienist and dentist.

Required are Certified Level II training, at least three years in a large dental clinic and one year in a community clinic, plus ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and multi‑task in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Level II training and in good standing with the ODAA.
• At least three years experience in a large dental clinic.
• One year experience in a community dental clinic.
• Ability to function and work cooperatively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to multi task in a fast pace d environment.
• Experience with dental software Abeldent and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all operatories and equipment, including infection control, at the start of the day and between clients.
• Teach oral hygiene to clients and participate in patient education and prevention programs.
• Perform a broad range of chairside duties.
• Adhere to infection control standards and universal precautions.
• Maintain dental supplies and equipment according to clinic standards.
