A local educational institution in Port Moody is seeking a volunteer coach to help provide a comprehensive athletics program. The role requires knowledge of the sport, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse students and parents. Applicants must have recent coaching experience with K-12 athletes and a valid First Aid and CPR certification. Flexible hours are required for practices and games.

As part of the selection process, the District conducts confidential reference checks to include former and present employers and also requires a criminal background investigation.

Under the direction of the coach, building Athletic Director, building Principal, and district Athletic Director, the Certificate of Clearance (COC) volunteer helps to provide a comprehensive athletics program in the specified sport to include conducting practices, overseeing games and game strategy, educating and developing athletes, and complying with WIAA policies and procedures.
Such alternative to the above requirements and desirable qualifications may be made as the District finds appropriate and acceptable. It is understood that the district has the right to transfer and assign volunteers to best fit the needs of the district. Volunteers appointed a position in any given school may be re-appointed to the same position for the subsequent school year without further posting. Fingerprint background clearance valid for two (2) calendar years.
