Job summary

Banff Caribou Properties Ltd. in Banff, Alberta, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our Central Maintenance team. You'll perform routine and preventative maintenance across our buildings and laundry facility, troubleshoot issues, and help keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across buildings and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, appliances and general maintenance.
• Support the central maintenance team to keep facilities safe and efficient.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide high-level service.
• Participate in shared on-call schedule and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed.

Our Central Maintenance team looks after our commercial buildings and commercial laundry facility, helping keep these spaces safe, functional and operating at their best. This is a hands‐on role for someone who enjoys variety, solving problems and taking pride in getting the job done right.

What you’ll bring

• A practical, hands‑on approach with strong mechanical aptitude.


• Experience in building maintenance and plumbing.


• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.


• A self‑motivated approach and willingness to learn.


• The ability to work independently and use good judgment.


• A friendly, professional and service‑focused attitude.


• Strong organisation, attention to detail and a sense of ownership.


• A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence, or eligibility to convert from out of province or overseas.


• The physical ability to safely bend, lift up to 50 lbs above head height and work at heights of up to 40 ft on a ladder and 85 ft on a manual lift.

What you’ll do

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across our buildings and facilities.


• Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, appliances and general building maintenance.


• Help keep our commercial laundry facility running safely and efficiently.


• Build strong, respectful working relationships with stakeholders and provide a high level of service.


• Participate in a shared on‑call schedule.


• Follow all health and safety procedures and report hazards or injuries promptly.


• Support the wider operations team with additional tasks as needed.
