Job summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon Campus is seeking an Instructor for the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program. You will teach on-campus theory, lab and simulation, and may deliver online instruction to distance learners.

The position includes student assessment and program delivery in clinical practice education across diverse settings. Applicants must be a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse with appropriate degree or education; active CRNS/CRPNS registration, and at least two

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with a Degree in Nursing or Education or related field.
• Active registration in good standing with CRNS or CRPNS.
• Minimum two years of relevant geriatric care experience.
• Effective instructional ability.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with internet, e-mail, MS Office; able to learn new tech.
• Ability to work as part of a team; value diversity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in organizing and teaching the Continuing Care Assistant Program.
• Provide ongoing evaluation and support of students.
• Assist with coordination and supervision of mid and final practicums.
• Prepare and submit evaluative program feedback.
• Participate in ongoing curriculum development.
• Develop ongoing community linkage/networking.
• Travel is required.
• Some weekend and evening work required.
