Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN) from an approved school.
• Eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
• A minimum of two years recent and relevant experience as a registered nurse.
• Effective communication skills (written and oral).
• Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
• Effective instructional ability.
• Demonstrated skills in using technologies to support education and learning activities.
• Ability to apply theory, practices and principles of adult education.
• Small group facilitation and teaching interaction skills.
• Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Simulation Centre for the Hospital Lab and High Fidelity Technology units.
• Collaborate with faculty to determine simulation applications and integrate into curriculum.
• Develop and revise scenario content.
• Plan and schedule simulation events and manage supplies.
• Develop policies and procedures for the centre.
• Create evaluation tools to measure simulation effectiveness.
• Monitor simulations and provide feedback on student progress.
• Foster inter-professional learning opportunities in the SC.
• Coordinate scheduling with professional services staff.
• Maintain relationships with internal faculties and external partners.
• Collaborate with other institutions and vendors in simulation education.
• Work with Virtual Campus to develop virtual lab opportunities.
• Participate in stakeholder activities and related projects.
• Travel may be required.
